I carved my way through the baying mob, no one could make themselves heard to the person standing next to them. They had been whipped up into a frenzy by speakers, it was as if all their dreams had come true. The thing that became apparent was that most had never been to Gaza, let alone Israel. They were sheep. They believed all they heard about the ‘evil apartheid state’ that they were told was Israel.

From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free! It was chanted again and again, but, did they know which river and which sea? I doubted that.
The police were there, hanging around in small groups, not in any great numbers, for the most part they stood there, doing nothing. Looking at the mob in front of them, unsure, it would appear, of their position.

I for my part needed to document was much as I could, but the sheer weight of numbers, the shoving, pushing, hand flares and more made it difficult.

This was an out of control mob, baying for blood, and at the very same time in Israel, Israelis were still being murdered by those they were praising.

Tempers were rising, right here in London. At the forefront were the placards supplied by the Socialist Party, the PSC and Socialist Worker. The far left, (in my opinion), coming to the aid of anything or anyone they could use to try and boost their nmbers.
